About
Chelsea Hull, MAFounder + Lead Interpreter
Master of Arts in Deaf Education. More than 30 years bringing language, access and live performance together.

Her Story
This work is personal.
Chelsea Hull's connection to this work began with her mother, who was Deaf.
The first time Chelsea interpreted music was for her mom. She had a cassette tape and wrote down the lyrics to Neil Diamond songs by hand, then showed her mom the paper as she interpreted the songs.
Growing up, Chelsea saw how limited access to communication could shape a person's whole experience — the conversations missed, the rooms that stayed just out of reach. She spent years wondering how different her mother's life might have been with greater access to ASL and the Deaf community.
That experience shaped Chelsea's belief that communication access can profoundly affect a person's life. Over more than 30 years, that commitment has taken her from Deaf education and family support to professional interpreting and live music — and now to building Elevate as an agency.
Chelsea also brings years of education experience and the lived perspective of a parent navigating autism, ADHD and complex communication needs. That perspective informs her family-support work without turning it into medical or clinical care.
Access isn't a service line. It's the reason the work exists.

A Formative Chapter
Aloha shaped my perspective.
Early in her career, Chelsea supported Deaf and hard-of-hearing families across the Hawaiian islands — working in homes, preschools and communities as families learned to communicate with their children.
The experience deepened her respect for family relationships, community connection and access that meets people where they are. It remains a formative and deeply appreciated chapter in her work.

What's Next
Building Elevate.
Chelsea's interpreting practice grew. But one interpreter can only be in one room at a time, and the demand for real access at live events kept outgrowing a single pair of hands.
Elevate is the answer to that. It's the evolution from an individual practice into a professional agency: a team of highly skilled interpreters who share the same standard, the same preparation and the same respect for the audiences they serve.
Chelsea is still the founder and the face of the work. But when you hire Elevate, you're hiring the team and the standard behind it.
